This Yoga Event Includes a Rooftop Afterparty and Lululemon Swag
Three Queens Yoga's annual fundraiser is here, and you should be excited.
Get ready, people: Three Queens Yoga is back with their annual fundraiser, and it’s looking like it’ll be the best one yet.
In case you’re like What is she talking about? here’s a bit of background: Three Queens Yoga studio, led by the Best-of-Philly-winning Mariel Freeman, hosts a fundraiser yoga event around the lunar new year. Last year, the Year of the Dog, the studio took over a ballroom at Hotel Monaco, filled it with live deejay beats and live puppies and geared the whole event to benefit Philly dog shelter Saved Me.
This year, the Year of the Pig, Freeman is hosting another awesome yoga party at Hotel Monaco. The February 27th event is themed around The Three Little Pigs fable. If you recall, the children’s story involves the animals trying to stay safe from the big bad wolf inside their houses. For that reason, this year’s fundraiser will benefit Al Otro Lado, a non-profit that provides legal services for Mexican deportees, migrants, and refugees.
The night of the event, participants will join an hour-long flow led by Freeman to a soundtrack mixed by DJ Eagle. After the class, the party will move upstairs to the hotel’s rooftop Stratus Lounge. There, DJ Eagle will keep the music pumping while attendees sip gratis cocktails.
Of course, it’s not a party without presents, and this event always has great Lululemon swag. Last year, participants went home with Lululemon Align II pants (a.k.a. the best pants for doing absolutely nothing) or Lululemon yoga mats thanks to the Fishtown Lululemon. Plus, the hosts plan to raffle off some of Freeman’s favorite things — and believe us, she (like Oprah) has excellent taste.
If you’re eager to get in on the night’s festivities, tickets are $50, and they can be purchased here. Yoga party, here we come!
