This Free Event Includes a Workout, Açaí Bowls, and a Self-Care Workshop

Head to Never Give Up in Manayunk for a celebration of Mental Health Month.

We may talk a lot about the workouts to do and the food to eat for the health of your body here at Be Well Philly, but we know that mental health is of equal importance. That’s why we’re really excited that Never Give Up Training, a gym in Manayunk that specializes in personal training and small-group fitness classes, is celebrating Mental Health Month with a free “Love Your Body, Love Your Mind” event.

The night will kick off with a 45-minute workout led by the Never Give Up team. After, everyone will have the chance to refuel with free açaí bowls from Boostin’ Bowls, then settle in for a self-care and stress-elimination workshop.

The workshop will be led by Ashley B. Cook, licensed professional counselor and owner of ABC Therapies, and Edward Darrah, who specializes in addressing mental health issues in athletes.

While the event is totally free to attend, Never Give Up is suggesting everyone make a donation to the National Eating Disorders of America organization. The event will take place at Never Give Up’s newly renovated facility — they recently re-did the downstairs, doubling their studio space — located at 4368 Cresson Street in Manayunk.
