There are a lot of things to love about açaí bowls. They’re colorful. They taste good. They’re healthish. And they look freakin’ amazing on your Instagram feed.

Well good news, açaí fans: Rittenhouse is getting a new spot where you can fill up on the colorful, cool treats. A franchise called SoBol — which has 20 locations in New York — is expanding to Philadelphia this month. The shop, which specializes in açaí bowls, but also serves up pitaya bowls and fruit smoothies, offers lots of menu customizations for a build-your-own-bowl experience. Specialty toppings like chia, flax seeds, natural nut butter, and Nutella — of course Nutella — are all available for piling on your bowl.

The açaí bowls come in three sizes — kids ($5.95), regular ($8.50), and super ($13.95) — which is pretty handy for those watching their portion sizes. The pitaya bowls — which use dragon fruit as the key ingredient — also come in three sizes, priced at $6.95, $9.50, and $14.95 respectively. All smoothies are $7.29, and come in flavors ranging from Super Green (kale, spinach, almond milk, mango, banana, and agave) to Strawberry Banana (strawberries, banana, and almond milk).

The new shop is slated to open at noon on April 11 at 46 South 17th Street. You can follow @sobol_philly for updates, and check out the full menu here.
