Much to the chagrin of our low sugar goals, Girl Scout Cookie season is upon us. It’s hard to resist buying a box or two of these delicious treats — a purchase which is totally justifiable because you can tell yourself it’s for a good cause. Right?

This year, you can get your dose of Girl Scout Cookies without having to purchase a whole box (or two, or three) at East Passyunk’s P’UNK Burger. From now until February 25, this locally-sourced and organic burger and shake joint will be slinging five limited-edition hand-dipped Girl Scout Cookie-inspired milkshake flavors — including one that’s gluten-free, huzzah!

One dollar of each Girl Scout Cookie milkshake sold will be donated to benefit Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania’s Girl Experience and Outreach Programming. Plus, this Saturday and Sunday there will be real-life Girl Scouts setting up shop outside of P’UNK Burger (1823 Easy Passyunk Avenue) selling their sweet treats.

So, here’s the super-important information, the flavors, that is: the Toasted Coconut and Sea Salt Caramel Cookie shake features the tasty Caramel deLite cookie pieces. Campfire Cookie shake includes the S’more cookie. The Mint Cookie Shake has yes, you guessed it, Thin Mint cookie crumbles, while the Chocolate Peanut Butter and Jelly Cookie Shake houses crushed piece of Peanut Butter Patties. Last but not least, the gluten-free Honey Banana and Oatmeal Cookie shake features Trios gluten-free cookies.

All of these tasty concoctions will run you $8 a pop and you have your choice of whole milk, almond milk, or soy milk for your shake. Oh, and if you’re feeling a little wild (and if you’re a grown up), feel free to BYO airplane bottle to spike your shake with, for no additional charge.
