Where to Do Yoga on a Rooftop This Week

Raise your hand if you're feeling sun-deprived.

Guys, warm weather fiiiiiiiinally seems to be headed our way, with the forecast calling for temperatures in the high 70s and 80s this week. Say it with us: YESSSSSSSSSS. And if you’ve been feeling just as sun-deprived as we have, you’ll be very pleased to hear about two rooftop yoga classes, being led by KG Strong’s Katie Gould, where you can soak up some serious vitamin D this week.

The BYO-mat classes are both $15 for an hour of downward dogging. Here’s the deal: The first class is going down on Tuesday, May 16th at 6 p.m. on the rooftop of the Free Library of Philadelphia at 1901 Vine Street. After class, yogis will head to the Kite and Key for drink specials.

The second class is happening on the 25th-floor roof deck of 1 South Broad Street on Thursday, May 18th at 5:30 p.m. (The hourlong class is being held in partnership with Red Tettemer O’Connell + Partners, so to get to the class, you’ll take the westside elevator to the 24th floor, then walk through the Red Tettemer O’Connel + Partners offices to get the deck.) Afterward, attendees will head to Time (that’s at 1315 Sansom Street) for drinks.

Space is limited for both classes, so if you want in, you’re best off preregistering. You can find the schedule and register here.
