New Lululemon Walnut Street Store Opens Today — With Free Hot Cocoa for All!

They've got tons of free fun scheduled throughout the rest of the week, too.

The time has come: Time for Lululemon Walnut Street to open the doors to their new digs at 1720 Walnut Street, just a few steps away from Rittenhouse Square (and dangerously close to the Philly Mag offices). The new Lululemon store opens at 10 a.m. today, and there’s no shortage of fun for folks to experience throughout opening week, from free yoga to a love-letter-writing workshop of sorts (intrigued?). The fun starts today with a DJ on deck and — wait for it — free Saxbys coffee and hot chocolate for shoppers throughout the morning. Because shopping just isn’t as fun when your fingers are numb and your lips are frozen shut, right?

You can check out the store’s full week of events here (including one with us!), but a couple we think you’ll definitely want to jot down: From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, they’ll give you everything you need — stamp included! — to write a letter to someone telling them how much they mean to you. At first read, this might sound super sappy and eighth-grade — but just think about how happy the person on the receiving end will be! Plus, once you write the letter, you’ll have filled your thoughtfulness quota for the month of January, so it’s really a win-win. The second event you’ll want to take note of is the free yoga class happening at the store at 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning. And as if free yoga isn’t enough, there will be free mimosas for the 21-and-up crowd following the class.

So what are you waiting for? Mark those dates on your calendar, then bundle up, head to the the new store and get your hot cocoa on!
