Who or what motivates you to be healthy?
What motivates me is knowing that I am making a difference in someone else’s life; discovering my passion and purpose is to encourage people through health and fitness, especially women, who often put themselves second to their families and professions ultimately suffering as a result.

Describe a health or fitness related turning point in your life.
Always being active, and being told that my cholesterol was high opened my eyes. I, too, had begun to put myself second which unfortunately caused my health to suffer. I had to save my life. So, I made myself a priority and vowed to take each and every person that wanted to go with me.

What “policy” would you institute to make Greater Philadelphia a healthier region?
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if Greater Philadelphia, which embraces “smoke breaks,” would institute two, 15-minute walk breaks. One in the morning, and one in the afternoon.

What’s the most important part of your health or fitness regimen?
Ensuring that my busy lifestyle centers around my exercise regimen and not that my exercise regimen schedule centers around my busy lifestyle.

What is your number one piece of health-related advice?
Love yourself enough to stay committed to yourself. Be accountable, find like-minded people who want some of the same fitness goals you do and be accountable to each other. No matter how many times you fail, get back up.
