It isn’t every day a person is invited to join Team USA for the world championship of, well, anything. But Body Cycle Studio instructor and competitive triathlete Barry Lewis recently received word that he’d earned a coveted spot on the USA Triathlon Team for the 2015 ITU Long Course Duathlon World Championship in Zofingen, Switzerland this September. The catch: He had to pay his way there, and he was a bit light on expendable cash, having already spent his race budget for the year.

When his pals at Body Cycle Studio heard about his dilemma, they knew they couldn’t just let this opportunity pass by. And so, the BCS Fundraiser Day, set for Saturday, April 4th, was born.

All day long at Body Cycle Studio tomorrow, you can take classes for $20, and your cash will be handed over to Barry to help him fund the trip. They’ve got six indoor cycling classes, one group run, and a yoga class on the schedule — so something for everyone. Barry is leading two sessions.

Here’s the full lineup for the day:

7:30 a.m. Barry’s 90 minute class
9:30 a.m. Russ’s themed ride
10:30 a.m. Jess’s live DJ ide
11:30 a.m. Reem and Erin tag team it up
12:30 p.m. Amarachi and Emily tag team it up
1:30 p.m. Shoshana’s live DJ Ride
3 p.m. Group Run lead by Hayley and Barry
4 p.m. Yoga with Lisa O’Rear

The goal is to raise $4,000 to cover the cost of Barry’s trip. Any cash raised on top of that amount will go to support GreenTreks Network, a nonprofit environmental-educational organization that Barry just so happens to manage. The day will end with happy hour at Zavino.

All the details are here – including a link to donate if you can’t make it but still want to show your support — and you can sign up for classes here.
