If you thought pole dancing was a ladies-only kind of workout, think again: On September 8th, 12th Street Gym is teaming up with Flaunt Fitness to host a pole-dancing workshop open to both ladies and gents. And if you’ve never dabbled in the world of pole-dancing, no worries—beginners are totally welcome.

The workshop will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m., and it’ll cost both members and non-members of the gym $15. The recommended get-up is booty shorts paired with a tank top or sports bra. So guys …. do with that what you will. The point is to have upper-leg-skin showing/visible so you don’t slide off the pole (i.e. baggy long basketball shorts = bad idea).

And an insider tip from the folks of Flaunt Fitness: Lotion and poles do not pair well, so don’t put on any moisturizer before class. You can find out more about the workshop here.
