To Do: Legs Against Arms 5K

Hit the streets to raise awareness about gun violence.

If you feel powerless against gun violence, listen up: The Legs Against Arms 5K, sponsored by the Physicians for Social Responsibility in Philadelphia, is your chance to be empowered and do something to support youth-violence prevention initiatives.

The race, which will be held at Saint Joseph’s University, will contain both competitive and fun run/walk 5K divisions as well as a 1K Peach Parade. A new addition this year includes the post-race celebration of PEACE (Peaceful Endings through Authorities, Children and Educators) and a town hall meeting which will discuss gun violence and prevention. Find out more information and register here.

Entry starts at $25, April 28th at 9 a.m., Saint Joseph’s University’s Hagan Arena, 54th Street and City Avenue, Philadelphia.
