Raise awareness and money for cancer victims—and get a serious workout, to boot
Take on the Livestrong Challenge to help fight cancer and test your own fitness
Take on the Livestrong Challenge on August 20th to join the battle against cancer. Begin at the Montgomery County Community College Campus with a 5K or 10K run. Participants can purchase chip timing for these races, or forgo the timing in order to join a bike ride the next day. Cyclists can pick from 10-, 20-, 45-, 70-, or 100-mile rides. Proceeds from the event will support programs that raise cancer awareness and help its sufferers to live normal lives. Last year’s campaign raised over $3.4 million.
$50 ($75 for 5K and bike ride), 8 a.m. run start on August 20, 7:30 a.m. bike start on August 21, Montgomery County Community College, 340 Dekalb Pike, Blue Bell.
