A Better Beef Jerky

A good, grass-fed option

I’ve never been a fan of jerky, but Daily Candy was recently chatting about SlantShack Jerky and I loved the fact that the company offers grass-fed-beef options. They make the more eco-friendly jerkies with 100% Grass-Fed Scottish Highland Cattle raised by the  Vermont Highland Cattle Company. If you don’t want to go with one of the house favorites, you can also build your own jerky, and experiment with different glazes and seasonings. The website also states that they are happy to work around any food allergies you may have. Definitely worth keeping in mind if you’re heading on any hiking or camping trips this summer and need some sustainable grub.

The downside: You need to order online. Only a handful of stores in New York currently carry SlantShack’s jerky. Prices start at $10.
