It’s Primary Election Day in New Jersey
CBS Philly has the rundown of today’s big races in the New Jersey primary:
In our region, the congressional seat held until February by Rob Andrews has three Democrats and four Republicans vying for a battle in November.
Jon Runyan’s decision not to seek re-election to Congress set up a two-way GOP showdown between dueling former mayors, while Democrats will choose between three hopefuls, one of them a Burlington County freeholder.
Republican Frank LoBiondo is seeking re-election, and faces the same primary opponent he beat 2 years ago.
U.S. Sen. Cory Booker is expected to win the Democratic nomination for a full six-year term in the Senate.
