On Friday, April 27, 2012, guests partied for a cause with Donors are Heroes as the Gift of Life Donor Program hosted THE Party at the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia. THE Party, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, supports National Donate Life Month and seeks to raise funds to help maintain public awareness programs, school summits and teaching initiatives designed to educate and dispel the myths surrounding becoming an organ donor and the need for life-saving, life-enhancing transplants. On Saturday, April 14, 2012, friends, families, and supporters of SPIN participated in SPIN’s 1st Annual Possibilities in the Park 5K sponsored by Independence Blue Cross. 5K and One-Mile participants ran, walked, or rolled through SPIN’s Northeast Philadelphia campus and surrounding neighborhood to create possibilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, and autism.
