Creepy Bill Cosby Wax Sculpture Hits eBay for $9,500

An antique shop in Beverly Hills is looking to unload a creepy looking Bill Cosby sculpture that it acquired from a wax museum in Belgium. The “Buy It Now” price for the “magnificent” life-size figure is $9,500. The sale was brought to the world’s attention thanks to comedian Neil Hamburger, who tweeted this to his 85,000 followers:

There are currently 18 buyers “watching” the sweaty-looking effigy, which is decked out not in a characteristic Cosby sweater, but a green turtleneck and plaid trousers. Here’s how the seller, World’s Finest Antiques, describes it:

This is a very fine and rare Bill Cosby life wax mannequin with the portrait painted wax head, with a hand plunged hair, and glass eyes, on a fiberglass body, dressed in Golf attire and brown leather golf shoes, approx. 67-inches height standing on a metal base, with beautiful detail and excellent condition all around, the piece was sold through a Hollywood museum, located at Hasselt City of Belgium.

I’m not sure who in their right mind would want this. Besides it being completely terrifying, Bill Cosby works of art haven’t had a good go over the past year. Last July, Disney took down a Cosby bust at Hollywood Studios and, only a few days later, Mural Arts sped up the painting-over of a mural that featured Cosby in North Philadelphia.

Since 2005, Bill Cosby has been accused by dozens of women of offenses including sexual assault. Cosby has continued to deny the allegations. Last week, the entertainer was charged with with aggravated indecent assault, a first-degree felony, in Montgomery County, for alleged offenses against Andrea Constand on January 15, 2004.
