Franklin Square Opens for the Season This Week [UPDATED]

UPDATE: Franklin Square will begin operation this Friday, but, due to the impending snowstorm, organizers have moved its spring kickoff festivities to Thursday, March 26th at noon.

ORIGINAL: Franklin Square has announced it will open for the season on the glorious first day of spring, this Friday, March 20th, at noon.

The family-friendly playground for kids and adults alike will be open for mini golf, and the Parx Liberty Carousel will be fired up. The Square has also announced a few new additions to its season itinerary: regular movie nights, an expanded Festivus celebration and they’ll be hosting a number of pop-up beer gardens and food trucks throughout the season. And of course nothing says “spring’s back!” like one of those amazing cake shakes at Stephen Starr’s SquareBurger.
