The telehealth program connects recently diagnosed cancer patients to an oncology clinician within 48 hours or less, providing patients and their loved ones with immediate support.

Support When You Need It

For many people, a new cancer diagnosis raises many questions, from “What happens now?” to “How can I get support?” With Jefferson Health’s Same Day/Next Day Cancer Care, you can get those questions answered by a member of the cancer center team right away.

At your telehealth appointment, you’ll meet with a clinician who is familiar with your diagnosis and works closely with the oncology physicians. These clinicians can provide you with clear guidance and helpful advice until your appointment with a specialist. In addition to answering questions, Same Day/Next Day clinicians can help you schedule appointments with specialists, coordinate additional testing, help you access and understand your medical records, and prepare you for upcoming appointments. They can also connect you (and your loved ones) with support groups, classes and survivorship programs to help you along your cancer journey. These clinicians can guide you to the next steps of cancer care and ensure you are seeing the most appropriate specialists. For your convenience, appointments are available Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon.
