Just Listed: Updated Extended Trinity in Pennsport
With extra room for work or study and a new rear deck, you can get creative with this very handsome trinity. Its current owner sure did.
I wasn’t sure whether to report on this Pennsport extended trinity house for sale as a featured listing or as a design story. Then it hit me: I can do both.
So here goes:
This handsome extended trinity just around the corners from Jefferson Square and one block over from Two Street has the strong bones needed to hang all sorts of interesting decor on it.
It has exposed brick all over the place, a beamed ceiling in its primary bedroom, and a surprising amount of space and flexibility for a classic trinity thanks to additions tacked onto the rear and side of its bottom two floors.
And the person who currently lives in it has hung some great decor on those bones, starting with the living room.
You might note from the photos here that the owner has an affinity for the Southwest, and the objects on the black accent wall add extra appeal to the living room’s midcentury modern furnishings.
The addition in the rear contains a similarly contemporary, newly updated kitchen on the main floor. The original rear window has become a pass-through with bar seating for two, the open shelves on its walls offer ample storage space, and the stamped-concrete tile floor is very attractive to boot.
Another nice feature of this house: its trademark spiral staircase is actually L-shaped between the first and second floors and has a landing on the second floor. This should make it much easier for you to haul your mattress up to the top-floor primary bedroom.
En route up, take a moment to check out the second-floor rooms. The current owner clearly uses them as their studio and workspace, something you will probably also want to consider doing.
And if you do need the front room for sleeping, the bonus room in the rear extension can be used as a home office or study. If you’re planning for an addition to your family, it’s also just the right size for a nursery.
The recently renovated bathroom sits just off the second-floor landing in the side extension. It also has plenty of storage space, a heated floor, and a classic subway-tile tub/shower enclosure.
Up top, the black accent wall, exposed brick rear wall, and vaulted, skylit beamed ceiling make the primary bedroom attractive even before it was decorated with more Southwest-inspired decor. Note that it’s large enough to accommodate a desk along with your bed.
And a recently added deck atop the extension gives it room for outdoor relaxation and a place to enjoy your morning pick-me-up al fresco.
Of course, that deck is just one of the outdoor options available to you here. Jefferson Square and Sacks Playground are just around the corner to your west, the Delaware riverfront and its hiking/biking trail are three blocks to your east, and if you want to combine exercise with errands or entertainment, you could walk up Washington Avenue to the Italian Market and East Passyunk Avenue, up 2nd Street to South Street, or up 4th Street to take in Fabric Row.
Now what will you do to make this handsome Pennsport extended trinity house for sale your own once you buy it?
