If you and your to-be are planning to hit up multiple destinations during your post-nuptial getaway, you’ve already caught on to a growing trend among newlyweds.

New research from the folks over at Starwood’s Westin Hotels & Resorts has revealed that couples have totally changed the way they travel—starting with their honeymoon itineraries.

The hotel giant surveyed over 4,000 Americans and found that honeymooners are now visiting more destinations in a shorter period of time; the number of honeymooners who have traveled to multiple locations has doubled from 35 percent five years ago to 70 percent today, with those 70 percent visiting more than one in less than 10 days.

Experts attribute the massive jump to couples getting married later in life, in which case they’ve had more time to travel before tying the knot (that may also explain why travel to Europe has dropped by nearly half in the last five years).

No matter the reasoning, we’re very much in favor of this trend; if you’re going to plan the most epic vacation of your life, you might as well take the opportunity to cross multiple spots off your bucket list.
