There were a lot of things to be sad about back in the summer of 2009 when the formerly iconic Suky bridal salon closed its doors, and one of them was the breadth of designer labels the Philadelphia market was left bereft of.

We’ve gained many of them back, as thankfully, this area isn’t short of some really lovely bridal salons—but there was one in particular we’ve still had to travel for these past several years. That sad story, ladies, is over: Elizabeth Johns in Ardmore’s Suburban Square has just welcomed Oscar de la Renta to their roster of designer gowns.

As of right now, the boutique is officially stocked with the iconic late designer’s label—now in the capable hands of Peter Copping—and you’ll find gowns from the 2016 collection lining the racks of the gorgeously appointed store along with a few popular styles from collections past. This new addition at the Ardmore location makes Elizabeth Johns the exclusive carrier of Oscar de la Renta bridal in Pennsylvania—and through the Morristown location, the exclusive carrier in New Jersey.

We couldn’t be happier that the late iconic designer’s label is now available right here in Philly (again), and the boutique’s pretty pumped, too: This Thursday, February 18th, they’re holding a preview event from 7-9pm at the salon, and from Friday the 19th through Sunday the 21st, they’ll be having a visiting collection event, when they’ll have an even bigger selection of some-20 styles for brides to try on. RSVP to Thursday’s event with Caitlin Ohle at 973-513-3632 or c.ohle@elizabethjohns.com, and call the salon at 610-649-8100 to make an appointment for the weekend.
