The dress was for one of Oscar de la Renta’s Middle Eastern PR executives, Haifa Snobar, who got married in the South of France just two weekends ago in the stunning princess gown with an illusion neckline and three-quarter-length sleeves and completely covered in delicate little hand-cut taffeta and organza flowers.

You can see an entire slideshow of the gown during Haifa’s fitting here. And I have to say, I not only find this gown to be beautiful, but so comforting: the second I saw it, I said, “That’s an Oscar dress.” Mr. Copping has has captured perfectly the utter femininity and grandeur of the late designer’s wedding gowns, and it’s a lovely thing to see for certain what excellent hands the brand is in—especially if you’ve had your heart set on an Oscar de la Renta wedding dress.
