Ginger Zee, Good Morning America’s meteorologist, is also a bride-to-be—and, she says, one who’s on a pretty tight budget.

So this morning, the show launched a new series on money-saving tips for couples looking to put their wedding-day together without completely breaking the bank. The first one had some good stuff in it—from how to make monetary cuts with your decor that won’t detract from the prettiness of your celebration to a few ways to get tricky with your cake that could easily save you upwards of $1,000.
