The Papery of Philadelphia’s Got New Midtown Village Digs!

The Papery moved to Midtown Village!

Welp, we told you the Papery was moving back when we told you about their moving sale—and we are happy to announce that they are officially all set up and settled in in Midtown Village!

Owner Carolyn Brandhorst moved her decade-old shop to 1219 Locust in order to make a little bit more room for working one-on-one with customers on their personalized products—design consultation, custom wedding invitations, and the like—and she’s definitely got it now.

She and her husband designed the space themselves; he actually built the farm table used for design consultations out of reclaimed wood and added a few industrial touches. They found a chandelier in France, seating at West Elm, and decor in the boutique’s signature colors of “Papery green,” and black and white. So, the shop still does everything they did before—custom invites and stationery, engraving, letterpress, thermography, same-day printing—they’ve just got a lot more room now to do it in.

Plus, they’ve still got everything that I’ve always loved about the shop: fun little gifts that make you do that one-for-you-one-for-me kind of shopping. There are boxes of adorable notecards, greeting cards, beautiful wrapping paper, candles from Illume, journals from Rag and Bone Bindery, little leather goods, cocktail napkins and all that kind of stuff that you need in order to properly host a soiree.

So yeah, you could probably spend a while there.

Click through the slideshow to see the new space and a sampling of the treats. See you there on our lunch hours?
