It’s a Date.
Ok, so somehow, it’s June. Does anyone know how that happened? Don’t get us wrong — June means summer, and summer means Shore, and Shore means sun and beach and happiness and … Well, the list could go on. But it just got here so fast!
And this year, June actually means something else to us here at PW, because in just a few short weeks — on the 21st, to be exact — we’ll be over at the incomparable Franklin Institute hosting, with them, what we at least think will be one of the loveliest events of the year: It’s a Date.
There will be food by Frog Commissary and cocktails (we can’t wait for the Dreamsicle martini) from Pinnacle Vodka. There will be event design by Eventricity. There will be live music by Eddie Bruce. There will be Philly florists and photographers to chat with, local boutiques with lovely wares to peruse, honeymoon-destination giveaways, and a Man Cave with a special golf-pro guest. There will be makeup artists — such as Cheekadee — on hand, and transportation options to consider, including a old-school trolley from Philadelphia Trolley Works on site. Models in super-fab dresses from Alfred Angelo will even be strolling around, as will Philadelphia Wedding editor Carrie Denny (um, so, me — though I think I’ll just stick to my own ensemble).
Oh, and if you know someone who isn’t planning a wedding — but is putting together a mitzvah, birthday or anniversary party, or just loves gathering awesome, gorgeous, inspiring entertaining ideas, bring them along. All the experts and vendors here can put together any type of event, and are looking forward to talking to you about it, whether it’s a wedding, or some other reason to celebrate!
Tickets are $15 (or $25 per couple, if your guy would like to come along), and can be purchased here. This entry also gets you in free to the FI’s Mummies of the World exhibit, all with complimentary on-site parking. Yell if you have any questions — and we certainly hope to see you there!
