Bride-to-Be Blogger Danielle: Post-Wedding Relaxation

Ocean Deluxe Room at the Boardwalk Plaza

Once we had our last hotel contract secured and save-the-dates out the door, I worked on something relatively simple: I booked our accommodations for our wedding weekend.

We decided to stay at the Boardwalk Plaza Hotel, which is centrally located in Rehoboth, and also the most posh of the three where we blocked rooms. We decided to stay an extra night after the wedding so we don’t have to rush to check out. We should be able to go to our getaway brunch, collect any belongings that may still be at the venue, and then just relax a little bit before heading home or off to our honeymoon.

I thought about it for a couple of days and decided to splurge on deluxe accommodations. The room we sprung for is a suite, so there is enough room for the entire bridal party to dress there. It also has a Jacuzzi tub, which Tim and I hope to enjoy the day after the wedding, once we are able to relax. I think it will be really nice to be able to start married life with a little bit of pampering. After the rush of the wedding, we’re looking forward to being able to reflect quietly on the day before, and I think it was a good spend of a few extra dollars.

Are you planning a quick getaway after the wedding? Are you doing anything to pamper yourself before or after the wedding? What are you splurging on?
