Local authorities in Maple Shade, New Jersey are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a gay man who has been missing since October 3, 2014. Thomas Cerveny, 31, was last seen at 5:30 a.m. on October 3rd in his hometown of Maple Shade. Cerveny, who goes by “Thomas James” on Facebook, is described by police as 5’9″, 155 pounds, with blue eyes and sandy-colored hair. He has a tattoo on his left shoulder.

I spoke with Cerveny’s cousin, Christy Dunn, on Tuesday morning; she, along with the rest of his family, are quite worried.

“He was supposed to be at work on Friday and was a no-call, no-show,” says Dunn. “He doesn’t have any clothes with him or hasn’t taken any money out of the bank. His cell phone goes right to voicemail.”

We spoke with Maple Shade Police on Monday evening; they believe Cerveny was wearing black cargo shorts, a black hoodie with white lettering, and grey Nike sneakers at the time of his disappearance. They also informed us that Cerveny may have been operating a blue 2000 Ford Explorer, license plate A69ELU.

A mutual friend tells me that Cerveny usually goes to Icandy when he comes to Philly, but there is no reason to believe he was in town on the night of his disappearance. Still, police are encouraging anyone with information to contact Maple Shade police by dialing 856-234-8300 and referencing case 14-15432.

Stay tuned to G Philly for any developments.
