Quince Productions has announced the line up for the fourth annual GayFest, the city’s LGBT theatre extravaganza, which runs at various venues throughout the city from August 5-23, 2014.  This year, the festival includes four main stage plays and a host of special events, one-night-only cabarets, performances, and one-man shows.

We have the full agenda below, along with a preview of some of the special events.

Mainstage Productions:

  • The Haunted Host by Robert Patrick, Directed by Sarah Gafgen.  50th Anniversary Production.  Plays & Players Theatre, Skinner Studio.
  • Some Are People by Kathleen Warnock, Directed by Josh Hitchens.  Philadelphia Premiere.  Plays & Players Theatre, Skinner Studio.
  • You Know My Name: A Daniel Talbott Trio by Daniel Talbott, Directed by Rich Rubin.  World Premiere.  SkyBox at the Adrienne Theatre.
  • Next Fall by Geoffrey Nauffts, Directed by Calvin Atkinson.  Philadelphia Premiere.  SkyBox at the Adrienne Theatre.

Special Events:

  • Head Over Heels by The Bang Group.  August 5 and 6, Plays & Players Theater, Skinner Studio.
  • Standing on Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays by Paul Rudnick, Neil LaBute, Moises Kaufman, Jose Rivera, Mo Gaffney, Jordan Harrison, Doug Wright, and Wendy MacLeod.  August 10, SkyBox at the Adrienne Theatre.  Benefits GayFest and Equality PA.
