The Weather Is Going to Suck For a Couple of Days
The National Weather Service has issued a “Hazardous Weather Outlook” for the next few days. Here it is, in the NWS’s ALL CAPS STYLE which oddly seems appropriate this time around. Short and sweet: It’s going to be very cold, very wet, and very windy for a few days. Ugh.
THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHERN DELAWARE…NORTHEAST MARYLAND…CENTRAL NEW JERSEY…NORTHERN NEW JERSEY…NORTHWEST NEW JERSEY…SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY AND SOUTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA.
.DAY ONE…TODAY AND TONIGHT.
RAIN WILL BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES ESPECIALLY TONIGHT WHICH CAN RESULT IN POOR DRAINAGE AND STREET FLOODING.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.
RAIN WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES WEDNESDAY WHICH CAN RESULT IN POOR DRAINAGE AND STREET FLOODING. THERE IS A CHANCE FOR MINOR TIDAL FLOODING WITH THE WEDNESDAY MORNING HIGH TIDE ALONG THE UPPER CHESAPEAKE BAY, ALONG DELAWARE BAY AND THE TIDAL PORTION OF THE DELAWARE RIVER.
TEMPERATURES DROPPING BELOW FREEZING WEDNESDAY NIGHT COULD RESULT IN ANY WET UNTREATED SURFACES ICING UP.
NORTHWEST WINDS WILL GUST TO 40 MPH LATER WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY.
