Oh Yeah: There’s A City Election on Tuesday

Go participate in democracy, if you actually know what's going on.

There’s actually an election in Philadelphia on Tuesday—the Committee of Seventy has a sample ballot in case you want to get informed tonight about the choices you’ll be making tomorrow.

Here’s a list of the candidates and races involved in tomorrow’s election, including general election tilts for Controller Alan Butkovitz and D.A. Seth Williams, but honestly, they’re Democrats: Those elections were decided during the primary votes during the summer. We realize as journalists we’re supposed to encourage you no matter what, but: Philadelphia may be one of the birthplaces of democracy, but it’s an awfully lousy place to practice it. We can’t help but hope there’s a competitve opposition party in this town someday.
