Philly Plane Crashes Through Someone’s Living Room

While the whole New York Times Magazine story about the plane circling above PHL for two hours has the whiff of embellishment (if not fabulism) about it, here’s a story about a Philadelphia plane fiasco that’s certifiably true: A Virginia-based aircraft, flying out of Philadelphia (not PHL) ran out of fuel at 12:30 a.m. this morning crashed into the living room of an apartment building in suburban Virginia.

One person was aboard the aircraft when it apparently ran out of fuel around 12:30 a.m., crashing into the Astoria Circle home. Ventura said all he heard was an explosion. He told News4’s Megan McGrath when he opened the door, there were people and a plane in his living room. He recalled the pilot asking, “Is everyone OK here?”

Except for minor injuries, everyone was.
