First Casualty of Christie’s Tenure Law is Naked Teacher

In August, Chris Christie signed a bill making it harder for teachers to get tenure, and easier for them to get fired. Today, a Vineland fifth-grade teacher caught running through a parking lot nude on a dare, was laid off only four months after charges were filed. (Proceedings usually take closer to a year.) In several recent cases, young, award-winning teachers lost their jobs because of union-mandated “Last In, First Out” seniority policies.
