Jerry Sandusky Expects to Be Vindicated

Jerry Sandusky is scheduled to be sentenced on Tuesday. After his conviction on dozens of charges related to the sexual abuse of young boys, Sandusky faces up to 442 years in prison. The former coach, though, is still holding out hope. He apparently thinks that he’ll be vindicated. Sandusky’s been writing his own account of events that he believes will be the key to his appeal. Joe Amendola, the attorney representing Sandusky, says that he believes the coach was set up and that the entire ordeal took on a life of its own once it looked like Penn State might have been implicated. Amendola talked to NBC10 about his client, the sentencing, his proclaimed innocence, and the upcoming appeal. [NBC Philadelphia]
