Jersey Looks to Join California in Limiting Gay Conversion Therapy
California Governor Jerry Brown recently signed into law a ban on gay-to-straight conversion therapy. Now, one Jersey assemblyman wants to hop on the bandwagon. Assemblyman Timothy J. Eustace is an openly gay father of two who says that the conversion therapy is a type of child abuse. Next week, Eustace plans to introduce legislation that would, if enacted, make it illegal to offer that type of “therapy” to anyone under 18. California is the only state with such legislation.
