Chris Christie Calls a Reporter an Idiot

Chris Christie took questions from reporters following a Saturday press conference about the collapsed water mains in Monmouth County, New Jersey. The reporters were briefed prior to the presser so they were aware that Governor Christie was only fielding questions pertaining to the water emergency. When Christie opened up for questions from the press, Chris Harris—a reporter for North Jersey’s The Record—asked if the governor about a legislative session planned for Monday. Christie asked the Harris if he was stupid and then apologized on his behalf while calling Harris an idiot. Harris tweeted today that he wasn’t offended by the governor’s remarks. [MSNBC]
