Mayor Nutter’s Stock Rises on President Obama’s Campaign for Re-Election
The folks at Talking Points Memo have taken note of Michael Nutter’s recent ascent up the Democratic political ladder as the Mayor of Philadelphia continues to aid in the party’s campaign to have President Obama elected for a second term. In April, Mayor Nutter attacked Mitt Romney on a conference call with reporters. He also mocked Romney while the Republican presidential hopeful was visiting a school in West Philly and blasted him in a recent interview on CNN. The Talking Points Memo piece also points out that Mayor Nutter’s shining moments in the campaign trail may be coming as a result of Newark Mayor Cory Booker’s admission that he thinks the campaign’s attacks on Romney for Bain Capital have been inappropriate.
