Jury Deadlocks on Five of Six Felony Charges in John Edwards Case [UPDATE]
The jury in the corruption trial of John Edwards—who have been deliberating for nine days—returned a verdict today on one of the six felony charges against the former presidential hopeful. The presiding judge said that she mistakenly believed that the jurors had agreed on all counts and apologized for calling them into the courtroom and sending them back to deliberate.
