Philadelphia Union, Harrah’s Subject to Amusement Tax in Chester?

A new administration in Chester is considering two ordinances that would impose an amusement tax on Philadelphia Union tickets and parking, as well as expenses at Harrah’s Chester Philadelphia. Tickets at PPL Park would be subject to a 10 percent tax while parking would face a 20 percent charge. The tax covers concerts, comedy shows, and other forms of entertainment, which would bring Harrah’s into the mix. The CEO of the Philadelphia Union says that the tax would put them out of business over time. [Delco Times]
