Philly keeps gnawing at the Big Apple

Recently, a handful of columnists have pointed out that Philadelphia seems to be going toe-to-toe with New York over the course of the past few years. The New York Post’s Michael Vaccaro wrote a piece published Saturday, then the Inky’s Bill Conlin followed that up with his column on Monday and today Jason Gay had a piece in the Wall Street Journal. Okay—we get it—Philly is competing with New York. The Scoop just thought that was common knowledge since the infamous Mets collapse of 2007—or maybe it was when the Eagles won the NFC East five-out-of-six years between ’01 and ’06.
