Milton Street: Man of Reason

Compared to Nutter, anyway

This morning, Michael Nutter withdrew two parts of his challenge to Milton Street’s mayoral candidacy, leaving only the residency issue for common pleas judge Jimmy Lynn. Street, who believes Nutter’s initial challenge only legitimized him as a candidate, responded by saying, “When you have $1.8 million and the power of the mayor’s office you ignore a candidate who just got out of prison.” The Scoop hates to admit it, but Street’s got a pretty valid point. Why is Nutter even pretending like Street is a threat to his position? [Clout]

UPDATE: Street will stay on the mayoral ballot. [Clout]
