Palm Philadelphia Changes

Changes are coming to the Bellevue’s The Palm this spring. General manager Jim Haney reports that the steakhouse will be adding an outdoor café that will occupy 50 feet along Broad Street. The 50 or so new seats will be shielded by a canopy and separated from foot traffic by an iron gate. The café will have a menu with more casual outdoor-friendly options like steak sandwiches and lobster rolls. Haney says it should be ready by May — just in time for the best outdoor dining months of the year.

Another change-up in the works: the Palm’s interior, famous for its caricatures of local and national celebs, will be updated. Old ’80s images (like the cast of Dallas) will be switched out for new faces (like Jimmy Rollins of the world-champion Phillies).
