Hand-painted Italian pottery is custom-made and shipped by boat directly from Italy to Via Bellissima in Bryn Mawr. With more than 40 patterns to choose from (try the Raffaellesco pattern, an intricate Florentine design of yellow, cobalt blue and burnt sienna red), brides can mix ’n’ match among full place settings and create a one-of-a-kind set. Owner Susan Arizini loves the dinnerware for new brides: “It fits in perfectly between everyday and fine china,” she says. And, because the final order isn’t placed until after the wedding (Arizini keeps an updated “wish list”), it’s a great way for out-of-town guests (as well as local) to give the bride exactly what she wants. 853 W.
