Pulse: Chatter: Correction
Last month, this magazine bestowed a “Best Of” award on someone named Peter V. Ueberroth for “best human being, ever.” At the time, we were under the impression that Ueberroth was the chairman of the United States Olympic Committee, which was to decide whether Philly’s Olympic bid would make it to the next round of consideration. Since that time (and, pure coincidence, since Philly was knocked out of the running; see above), it has come to our attention that Ueberroth is not the best human being ever; a review of our records indicates that he doesn’t even exist. In fact, he is completely dead to us. We regret the error.
