Kensington is going to get a little Bucks County this spring when the owners of the historic Pineville Tavern open a second location, The Pineville, at 2448 East Huntingdon Street. And to tide the neighborhood over till then, they’re hosting a block party at the new site on Thursday, December 21st.

The owners, father and son Andrew and Drew Abruzzese, say that The Pineville will be “an homage to the corner bars of yesteryear” —  fitting for a project that will occupy the former Yesterday’s Tavern at the corner of Huntingdon and Gaul Streets, just west of busy Aramingo Avenue.

From 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on December 21st, the Abruzzeses will fire up the grill for some complementary bites, like a slider-sized take on their Philadelphia Burger Brawl-winning Million Dollar Bacon Burger. They’ll also serve samples of The Pineville’s fried chicken, plus beer samples from Yards Brewing Co.
