This morning, HubBub Coffee founder Drew Crockett took to the company’s Instagram account with an announcement: today will be the last day of operation for the Philly-based cafe’s 1717 Arch Street location.

In the video, Crockett breaks the news, teases new projects to be revealed in the near future, and thanks the store’s dedicated staff and customer base.

It felt only fitting that at a time of such mixed emotions, you heard the message directly from our founder. Thank you again for all of your support, and being a part of this great journey with us. Good Things Brewing!

Crockett doesn’t address what prompted the closure in his statement, but philly.com reports that Saxbys will be taking over the location, allowing HubBub to focus in more on roasting and cold brew projects.

HubBub will continue to operate its stores in University City and Radnor.
