It’s not even May, but we’re already excited for Philly Beer Week’s 10th anniversary celebration, running from June 1 through June 11.

The country’s best and biggest beer week — which has spawned 77 imitators across the country since it first took place a decade ago — will kick off with the ceremonial Opening Tap party at The Fillmore on June 1st.

Preceding the Opening Tap is, as always, the HOG Relay, in which the specially hand-forged Hammer of Glory makes a relay-style run from venue to venue, starting in the wee hours of the morning and ending just in time to start the party and strike a firkin of Brotherly Suds, a collaboration between the brewers at Tröegs, Victory, Yards, Sly Fox, Stoudt’s, Iron Hill and Flying Fish.

One new feature of this year’s Opening Tap? The Orchard, a section of the festivities that will focus on cider, including samples from some of the country’s best cideries and the chance to meet the makers.

Get all the details on Opening Tap and your tickets to the first official night of Philly Beer Week 2017 here. And stay tuned for more on their special 10th anniversary events, like a panel on label art and the Philly Loves Beer Garden, popping up at Uptown Beer Garden and highlighting brewers located within 100 miles of downtown.
