The Palm To Announce Return to Broad Street
When the Palm on Broad Street closed back in February, more than a few people speculated that we might have seen the last of the historic restaurant and one-time place to see-and-be-seen. But an news conference has been scheduled for Friday, November 18th to announce plans for the restaurant’s reopening.
The press conference announcement also says that plans have been made to allow patrons to “claim their face.” This means many of the nearly 2,000 people’s faces that been drawn onto the Palm’s walls will be saved. Initially it was thought that the illustrations would be lost in the renovations.
Judging by the announcement timing and that demolition hasn’t even begun yet, the Palm’s predicted late 2016 reopening is unlikely.
