Today Is Dining Out for Life

Today is ActionAIDS’ Dining Out for Life, the annual dining fundraising event for AIDS service organizations. Over 200 restaurants participate, donating 33% of their sales to the good cause.

In addition to the 200 restaurants where you can dine for lunch or dinner, you can support Dining Out for Life at Food Truck Pop-Up happening on the 1300 block of Locust from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. The fourth annual event features 15 trucks, including Nomad Pizza, Cow and the Curd (cheese curds) and Mom-Mom’s Polish Food Cart, selling their specialties for lunch between Broad and 13th Streets.

Yards Brewing has teamed up with ActionAIDS to brew Action IPA in order to raise funds and awareness throughout the month. Action IPA will be available all April with with 50¢ to one dollar of each pint of Action IPA sold going to help ActionAIDS.

Another way to help out is by buying a Dining Out for Life Bacon Sampler pack from 1732 Meats. The pack is available online through the end of the day and a portion of sales of the artisanal bacon and cured meats goes to the cause.
