Mercato Has A Plan To Make Tuesdays Tastier

Other than Taco Tuesdays, I’m having a hard time coming up with anything exciting about the third day of the week.

See, Mondays are an activity unto themselves. Center City Sips revived Wednesdays (as did Drake Night at the Dolphin Tavern, but I suppose that’s personal), and Night Markets and Dollar Strolls help liven up our Thursdays. Come Friday, if you’re still looking for something to do, this city has about a million and a half weekend bites and activities to keep you full and busy. But Tuesdays? Sort of nada.

Mercato‘s got something to change the week up a bit: Tasting Tuesdays. For $33 per person, they will be offering a 3-course seasonal meal that changes every week (menus can be found on their Facebook and Instagram).

Check out last week’s menu:

Fried Mozzarella
shishito peppers, frisee, basil-pistachio pesto

Braciole & Spicy Sausage Ragu
bucatini pasta, broccoli rabe stuffed flank steak, roasted garlic tomato sauce

Pistachio & Apricot Cannoli
ricotta, candied apricot jam, toasted pistachio

They had me at fried mozzarella.
