Ardé Osteria Opening Tonight

Ardé Osteria is unleashing its wood-fired pizzas, salumi and mozzarella bar, handmade pasta and more tonight in downtown Wayne.

The Italian BYO’s chef staff consists of Pino DiMeo, Antimo DiMeo and Scott Stein. Expanding upon their first venture– Pizzeria DiMeo’s– in Roxborough, the cuisine combines rustic Italian and local flavors.

Antimo DiMeo, part of the collaboration that created Ardé Osteria, has been working for Gennaro Esposito at 2 Michelin Star-rated La Torre Del Saracino in Sorrento, Italy for the past year and has been the driving force behind the bread and pizza program at Ardé Osteria and Pizzeria DiMeo’s.

Many of the breads in the new restaurant will use a variety of ancient grains, such as the Sprouted Kamut, which uses sprouted kamut berries, resulting in a complex, sweet flavor, and the  Old World loaf which blends organic stone-milled flours (kamut, einkorn + heirloom wheat), creating a crackling crust and soft, airy interior.

Ardé will be open for lunch and dinner, seven days a week, from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday, and 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
