Celebrate Franklin Fountain’s Tenth Anniversary

Celebrate The Franklin Fountain’s 10th Anniversary on Saturday, September 20th from noon until 6 p.m. at 116 Market Street.

The old timey American soda fountain with the well-informed staff dressed in period attire and house-made ice cream has been in business for ten years and it is celebrating with a street fair.

The celebration will include live music throughout the day. A children’s booth with face-painting, arts and crafts, ice cream and candy will serve the kids, and a Brown Swiss dairy cow named “Bessie Ross” will be on hand and udderly fantastic.

Gifts and toys relating to Ben Franklin and ice cream will be raffled off with proceeds going to a charity. A special “Birthday Cake Bisque” ice cream has been created, and hot waffles with slabs of fresh ice cream will be served from the ice cream cart. There will also be savory foods and adult drinks inspired by the flavors of the Franklin Fountain from neighboring restaurant The Gaslight. Of course, The Franklin Fountain will offer the full line of soda fountain drinks, ice cream concoctions and home-made candies.

The rain date for this event will be Sunday, September 21st from noon until 6 p.m.
